Overall Review of the Bissell Spinwave 3.9/5
Set Up of the Bissell Spinwave
When you receive the Bissell Spinwave there are a number of simple things that need to be done before first use. Due to the size of the handle this comes in the box not attached to the unit. This is a very simple click system.
Attaching the mop pads to the cordless mop is super easy. It can either be done by hand, or putting the mop pads in the tray and sitting the unit on top.
Filling the water tank is just a matter of gently pulling the tank off the unit and unscrewing it. What I love is it has two cleaning measuring lines. One for just smaller areas and one for full cleaning. There is a line where to fill with water and another line for the solution. So there is no guess work required. When filled screw the lid back and click it back into the machine.
It is recommended that you fill it with warm tap water only, and not boiling water.
When the Bissell Spinwave is fully charged, about 4 hours, you are ready to start cleaning your hardwood floors.
Performance of the Bissell Spinwave Cordless Mop
When you start the mop it vibrates, and has a mind of its own! It is light so it is not hard to control, but it definitely wants to go its own way. If you are not used to cordless mops then the vibrating might seem a bit concerning, but it is fine.
The spray nozzle directs the cleaning spray very well. The best way to use this is by overlapping cleaning strokes while spraying the cleaning solution.
“What can I clean with the Bissell Cordless Mop?”
- Sealed hardwood
- Tile
- Linoleum
- Laminate
- Vinyl
How long is the charge on the Bissell Cordless Mop?
It takes 4 hours to fully charge for only 20 minutes of cleaning time.
Cleaning of the Bissell Spinwave Mop Heads
When you are finished cleaning your hardwood floors, you need to make sure you clean the mop heads. This is incredibly easy, you can gently pull the two mop heads off, and then throw them in the washing machine! This is definitely a huge plus. The manufacturers recommend you wash these separately with no bleach and no softener. Then you can trumble dry them on low, or just leave to dry.
Do not store the Bissell Spinwave with wet mop pads as this will damage the machine.
Make sure not to store this anywhere it is likely to freeze.
Cost of Bissell Spinwave
At $150 it is certainly at the high end of cordless mops.
Cordless Mop | Amazon Rating | #Amazon Reviews | Price |
---|---|---|---|
Shark VACMOP | 4.1/5 | 191 | $100 |
Homitt Spin Mop | 3.9/5 | 171 | $100 |
Jashen M12 Electric Mop | 4.3/5 | 90 | $129 |
Bissell Spinwave | 4.2/5 | 501 | $150 |
Gladwell 3 in 1 | 3.9/5 | 514 | $170 |
Hoover Onepwr | 3.7/5 | 176 | $205 |
As can be seen above the price is on the high side, however, the amount of positive reviews certainly outweighs the price.
Do I Recommend the Bissell Spinwave?
Yes and no. In all honesty, I still prefer my spin mop and bucket! However, as a cordless mop, it does what it says on the box. The reviews on Amazon are great, and it does leave the floors clean.
